Three reasons why I need to stop watching college sports.
I know people that flunked out of OSU and they were enrolled longer than these guys. There is no reason to go to the NBA other than the money. The NBA season is longer and completely pointless. The NBA game is un-coached and unwatchable. And it's a long, long road from the NBA basement to the NBA championship. Good luck in the lottery. There's nothing left for you but to dream of dollar signs.
You've got to hand it to the Florida Gators for at least having a little class and playing for pride and the beauty of the game. They could have gone for the easy money, but they wanted something more. And what they have is two NCAA championships, and no matter how much the NBA pays, no matter how much Nike is handing out these day, you can't buy immortality. You have to earn it.
Speaking of classiness, I understand that the chimes at Orton Hall on the OSU oval played the Virginia Tech alma mater this week. Very nice.
