College Football Begins

Well it was sort of an interesting kick-off to the college football season.

My Colorado State Rams dominated their instate rivals only to be undone by special teams and a poorly played overtime. Alas.

Ohio State got off to a decent start in this, their rebuilding year, against an obviously overmatched Youngstown State team.

Michigan lost to Appalachian State as everyone knows, and nothing makes me happier than to see the Wolverines hoisted on their own petard. It was a well guarded secret that App State were defending national champions in I-AA until the upset was in the works. That's a 3 game losing streak dating back to the so-called "Game of the Century" last November.

Notre Dame is just a bad football team. Goes to show how talented Brady Quinn was the last two years just to get the program back to OK. But right now they stink. It will be a very long year for the Irish.
