A Doubtful Movie

Henson is going to make a movie of Edward Gorey's The Doubtful Guest. Brilliant!

Except, oh no! There's no way that can work. Gorey's art requires a very fine touch. It's dark comedy of the purest kind. If you make it too dark it can turn ugly, and if you make it too light it's pure fluff. Hollywood can't handle this sort of material.

After The Grinch and The Cat and the Hat, I don't see any reason to think that they won't ruin this.
