NFL Draft - Cleveland Browns

My favorite team from childhood, The Cleveland Browns, had an excellent draft snagging two (count 'em) big-time first rounders in Wisconsin's Joe Thomas and Notre Dame's Brady Quinn. I like the picks because they are football smart, fan friendly, and money wise.

Football smart, because regardless of which big-time quarterback you have, you can't make progress without putting together a top-caliber offensive line. Also, Quinn should be a quick study in the NFL after playing for Charlie Weis.

Fan friendly because dealing for Quinn shows that the Browns have a sense of urgency, that they want to get the franchise back to where it was in the mid 80s. He's also a local guy who actually wants to play for Cleveland, who wore a Bernie Kosar jersey as a kid. He's one of us.

And money wise because picking Thomas 3rd and Quinn 22nd saves them a boatload of money they can use elsewhere.
